I started my teaching career as a 5th grade teacher at a small private school and taught for 3 years. I then had my son and stayed home for 3 years and during that time at home also had my daughter. As much as I enjoyed being home full time I felt like I was missing something and what I was missing was being in the classroom teaching! I was very fortunate and a good friend of mine asked me if I would be interested in job sharing with her. I was very excited and was lucky to be hired as a 3rd grade teacher teaching 50%. This has been the perfect work/life balance for me for right now. Since I taught in a private school previously I had not cleared my credential so here I am finishing my 1st year in the CTI induction program.
